Top Ten Tuesday meme that was originally created by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s topic:
Ten Bookish Facts About Me
I am a day late, forgive me. I have been so busy! But I love this topic so much I didn’t want to pass up on it. So here goes..
- I didn’t start reading big fat novels till I was 15. And it started with Harry Potter! I remember all those years back being in Landmark with my mom and convincing her to buy me the first three books in the series. And yet…
- I haven’t finished the entire Harry Potter series. I stopped reading after the 5th I haven’t watched the movies either past the 4th one. Because…
- I don’t like watching a movie BEFORE I read the book. There will hardly ever be a movie I watch before I read the book. I believe reading the book makes the story so much better because there is so much detail that movies usually skip.
- I don’t know how many books I have read so far. I wish I did though, I really wish I knew how many books I have read in all these years. I have a Goodreads account but for the longest time, didn’t really bother updating it.
- I ONLY buy physical books once I have read them on my Kindle. I love physical copies, but there are so many books I want to read and so little money. Which is why I prefer buying the Kindle version before I buy the paperback.
- I DO NOT like hardcover. I know a lot of readers love hardcovers, but I prefer either the Kindle version or paperback. Simply because a hardcover is heavy and my arm goes numb faster! No other reason, really.
- I either binge read or don’t read at all. I know, it’s the binge reading that shoves me over to a reading slump but what can I say? I can’t stop reading once I start. I swear I have finished two trilogies and 3 books from another series in just a week’s time. That is a lot of books: p
- I have ‘Always’ tattooed across my ribs. Because that is my favorite quote from all the series I have read! So much is conveyed with just that one word! I wish to love my SO the same way Snape loved Lilly ❤
- I usually read before bed. That basically means I am reading till the wee hours of the morning. Since I started working, the only time I have to read is before and in bed. Maybe that’s why I have turned into a night owl this past year.
- I ALWAYS smell my books. The moment I have them in my hands, I can’t stop grinning and smelling the pages.
What do we have in common?
And what are some of bookish facts about you?
Talk to me, you know I love it!
I have only read Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It was really really good 🙂 but I never felt the need to read any of the others. And I like to read before bed too! I also have an unhealthy obsession with stationery 🙂
I am very pleased to meet you Sushmita, I look forward to reading more of your blog posts 🙂

Hi Miranda!
Thank you for visiting my little corner. ❤
Oh, you should! The rest of the books in HP are amazing. Not that I have read every book, but people I trust with fiction have that opinion. :p
Reading before bed is just so convenient for me. Besides when books don't keep me up till 5 in the morning, they do lead me to sleep. But I must confess books hardly ever lead me to sleep.
Stationery? Oh God, don't get me started! All i am saying is if I am not broke because of books, I am broke because of the stationery I buy.

Hello! Thank you, I love your little corner! ❤
😀 The Harry Potter books are very tempting! I think I will read them, they are all such loveable characters in Harry Potter.
I can't sleep if I don't read before hand, that's very impressive staying up until five!
I think, you only live once, you might as well let yourself have notebooks! 😀

hmmm. Why didn’t you complete the HP series? I’m curious. I haven’t either. Didn’t click with it, I guess 😛 I’ve never met a non HP bookworm before *_*

Oh I am a Harry Potter bookworm through and through! I couldn’t get my hands on the last few books and then other books kept me distracted. But I shall finish the series soon!
Aww… why didn’t you like the series? Before I started blogging, I didn’t know anyone could not like the series. I am much wiser now though :p

I haven’t finished the Harry Potter series yet either, I still have the last two books to go. I love the series though and am trying to continue, I just keep getting distracted with other books!
Also I’m not really a fan of hardbacks either, I struggle to hold them. They are far to big for my hands and I like how easy it is to hold a paperback, I can lie down with that!
Well either paperback or my kindle, I tend to read alot more on my kindle lately… XD

I love the series as well. But never got my hands on the last 3 books and then like you said, I got busy with other books!
Oh god, its amazing to find someone else who isn’t a fan of hardcovers. They are so difficult to read from, my arms…ugh..they hurt so much! I only have one hardcover book, just one!
I love reading on my Kindle too. Its so very convenient! ❤ God bless Amazon :p

Hey, nice post! 🙂
I have always wanted to read the HP series but honestly I just haven’t (except for deathly hallows). I have been interested in reading books from a very young age but I really haven’t read many. There are sooooo many beautiful works out there that sometimes it breaks my heart that I am missing out on them. Anyway, you’ve got a blog. keep it up 🙂
Oh and in common? 1,2,6,7,9,10 xD
