Top Ten Hyped Books I Have Never Read

1. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak

I did start reading this book about a year ago and I fell in love. It’s beautifully written and the story is equally mesmerizing. But then my mother went into the hospital and I had to stop reading. Since that day this has been on my TBR piles and I still haven’t picked it up. I guess admitting is the first step to change, right? I do plan to finish this though, soon.

2. Looking For Alaska by John Green

i probably will not be reading this. Don’t get me wrong, I love John Green. I loved The Fault In Our Stars and with high hopes picked up Paper Towns and was very disappointed. That disappointment is the very reason why i won’t be reading this book for a while. I might read it sometime in the future, but just not now.

3. Eleanor And Park by Rainbow Rowell

Everyone is in LOVE with this book! My friends are in love with it and they kept talking about it all the time when they read it. I guess that’s the reason why I never read it, because I already knew too much and because it was just so hyped up! I even own an E-Book version of it but still haven’t managed to read it.

4. All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven

This book has been on my TBR pile for quite some times now, but I have been warned that it will make me cry. I don’t mind reading books that make me cry, in fact I love the fact that mere words can evoke such a reaction out of me, but right now I am not in the mood to read something this depressing. But I will be reading this one soon!

5. If I Stay by Gayle Forman

Again, one of the many hyped up books that I have never read nor will I ever read. Don’t ask why because even i don’t know. All i know is i won’t be reading this book ever. I do not hate the author or anything, it’s just not a book I look forward to reading.

6. Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli

Talk about a book I really want to read! This book is on my TBR pile but I have so many books in my TBR pile I don’t know when I will get around to reading this one. Also, I am still waiting to get my hands on a physical copy of this book. Usually I read E-Books, because they are faster to get but the book cover makes me want to buy it.

7. Any Sarah Denssen Book

Till date, I have never read even one book by Sarah Denssen. I know she is quite popular in the readers world but for some reason I never read any of her works. But that will change soon, because I do plan on reading this particular book.

8. Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien

Even though I have never read J.R.R. Tolkien, I am a big fan of his words. Half the quotes I love are from this guy, there is just something about him! Anyway, I have watched the movies and every time I watch one I always tell myself I will read the book next but I never do. This is one of those books on my TBR pile that i know will take me a very long time to get to.

9. The Giver by Lois Lowry

Another book that I have heard amazing things about. I really want to read this book and I have tried, trust me! Everytime I try buying this little baby it goes out of stock! You could say I can buy an E-Book version, but I am set on having a physical copy! And till I do not have one I will keep this book in my TBR pile.

10. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead

I am just done with vampires. Even then and even now. Just done.

  1. I’ve read Looking for Alaska and I don’t think you’re missing out lol. I thought that book was a complete waste of my time. It was so odd! I finished it and was like, what was the point of that?!? The only other book on your list I’ve read is the Vampire Academy. It was just ok for me. Didn’t love it or continue on with the series :/

    1. Oh good so now I know there is a reason for me not read Looking For Alaska. I have heard so much about Vampire Academy but back then vampire’s were all over the place! Which is why I got bored of reading about them.

  2. I haven’t read any of these except The Giver. It really is a good book I read it first when I was young and in school. Now I own multiple copies. We had quite a few similar books on our lists! c:

        1. It’s an online store that sells books with free worldwide shipping. Their prices are decent (for me anyways) and they usually have multiple different covers for books. Which is great for me because I almost always prefer UK covers.

        2. It is! And free shipping with no base purchase limit, it’s great. I’m waiting on a book from them right now.

    1. Back when VA was released there were vampires in every book! I got real fed up real soon. I gather you enjoyed the books a lot, huh?
I can’t wait to get my hands on Simon. Super excited.

  3. I agree with most of those except for Vampire Academy and If I Stay, two of my favourites. You should give the If I Stay movie a go, I thought it was really good. I also read Eleanor and Park and didn’t much like it. I don’t understand the hype.

  4. All the Bright Places is fantastic, you must read it! It’s such an emotional story, and I loved it.
Eleanor & Park and The Giver are both great as well. The Book Thief, and Simon vs, are both on my TBR, and I’m looking forward to reading them! Oh, and Saint Anything too. Sarah Dessen is an amazing author, I haven’t read all her books, but the ones I have, I loved! Great list. XD

    1. I have had a few people tell me that Looking For Alaska is not a worthy read and I guess I won’t read it. I read Saint Anything and Eleanor And Park and they were pretty good, you should read it soon!
